The pots are aluminium, how do they function on an induction stove?

The pots have a special base enabling them to function on an induction stove.

Is it safe to use over an open flame?

Yes! The pots are designed to make your cooking a breeze on any heat source you prefer.

It is recommended to not let the flames touch the pot, as it will discolour with the soot build up. If they do discolour simply use an oven cleaner on the base of the pots ONLY, to clean the soot. Problem solved.

What can I cook in my Square pots?

Anything!
Use them as an “oven” by putting the pots on a triangular stand/grid on the fire and add a few coals on the lid. Avoid putting coals on the knob. Bake a bread or make a potato bake or even a baked desert. You can even make pap!
Pasta, deep fried chips, curry, scrambled eggs.
You can even use the pots as a kettle, as the big base allows the water to boil quickly and the square shape makes it easy to pour.
The possibilities are endless!

How do I bake a bread in my pots on a fire?

Lightly coat the inside of the pot with a thin layer of oil or butter.
Add the bread mixture.
Place a few coals on top of the lid, do not put coals on the silicone knob.
Place the pot on the fire grid or triangular stand.
Depending on how hot your coals are depends on how long the bread will bake, use your own discretion.
When ready turn the pot upside down and Voila! ENJOY!!!

How do I clean my Square pots?

Simply use a little dishwashing liquid with a cloth.
When there is limited water in camp, a wet wipe will do.
Do not use an abrasive material to “scrub” the pots.

What makes the pots non-stick?

The pots are coated with a non-stick coating by Ilag from Switzerland - a three layer non-stick coating.

How does the handle work?

Simply put the handle securely on the pot, flip the lock button on top, make sure it is in a locked position before lifting the pot. It is recommended that you always use the silicon mats as an extra support underneath the pot when you are carrying boiling hot contents from the heat source to a table.

The handle must be removed when the pot is left on a heat source.

What are the silicone mats used for?

The pots nest inside each other, the silicone mat protects the non-stick coating from being scratched.
The mats also protect your table top from burning when the pots are removed from a heat source.

How do the pots nest?

The smaller pot fits inside the bigger pot, making sure the silicone mat is in between the two pots.
The handle gets packed inside the handle bag, to protect your non-stick coating when travelling.
Place the lids on top of the pots as per normal use. The knobs of the lids fit like a puzzle into each other. Making sure the sides of the pots are away from each other to protect the non-stick coating.
Lastly place the stacked pots into the bag. This will ensure that the lids stay on when you are on rough roads. The bag is also padded to make sure the pots exterior is protected when in a drawer system or similar compartment.

How long is the warranty?

5 years.

How do I claim my warranty?

Take your pots to the store you bought them from, with your proof of purchase. They will get in contact with the distributer and evaluate the claim. If it is found that it is a factory fault your new set will be en route!

What does the warranty cover?

Any factory fault.

How does delivery work in SA?

We use Courier guy’s Services.

Our delivery is a flat fee of R150 anywhere in SA.

Delivery takes 3-4 working days.
